Upcoming and Current Closures

US 101 High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) Lanes were opened on Monday, November 10 to motorists traveling north and southbound. The hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in both directions from the US 101/Highway 12 Interchange to Steele Lane.

Steele Lane to Windsor River Road: Crews will continue work in the median for k-rail placement. There will be rolling closures in both the north and southbound directions during these hours.
US 101 Southbound - Sunday, February 1 through Friday, February 6 the number 1 and 2 lanes will alternate closures 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
US 101 Northbound - Sunday, February 1 through Friday, February 6 the number 1 and 2 lanes will alternate closures 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

On-Ramp & Off-Ramp – US 101 North & Southbound: On and off-ramps throughout the project zone may be subject to intermittent closures if needed. Crews will post Changeable Message Signs in advance to notify motorists.

Steele Lane to Windsor River Road: Crews began tree-removal on Monday, January 12. The removal of 342 trees along US 101 from Windsor River Road to Steele Lane is the first stage of the U.S. 101 Widening and High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) Lane Project from Steele Lane to Windsor River Road. Tree-removal is expected to continue for three to four weeks. Work will be done at night following the above construction schedule.
